BBM Search Marketing is a subsidiary of BBM Enterprises, Inc.  BBM Enterprises was founded in 2005 by Benton and Julie Maples.  The corporation owns and manages hundreds of websites and thousands of web properties.  These properties have received tens of millions of hits from "natural"  listings in search engines, and receive tens of thousands of daily hits.  The properties sell physical products, digital content as well as advertising.

Benton began building websites and experimenting with Internet search engines and the directories that predate them in 1995. 

Prior to founding BBM Enterprises, Benton was most recently a senior engineer at Forgent Corporation where he was awarded numerous patents for next-generation designs of management systems for multimedia networks.  Prior to that, Benton worked in software engineering roles at VTEL (a videoconferencing manufacturer), IBM and Microsoft. 

Benton graduated in 1992 from Vanderbilt University with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics.
